Helena is the co-author of ‘Teaching Business, Economics and Enterprise’ based upon her experiences as a Business and Economics teacher, PGCE Business course leader, personal research and a commitment to the scholarly underpinning of teaching and learning. Helena maintains her links with initial teacher education (ITE) working alongside colleagues within the Faculty of Education at Edge Hill University, acting as an External Examiner for SCITTs and PGCE provision as well as participating in the EBEA PGCE Course Leader group.
Helena is currently Learning and Teaching Development Lead with particular interests in the development of professional identity of new teachers and colleagues moving from education and health into Higher Education. This complements her wider work on preparing students for graduate employment and is reflective of her own transition from stockbroking to education and then to Higher Education.
