Membership Options

Teachers and departments join the EBEA in order to keep their subject specific teaching skills up to date. EBEA members are 'fellows' and are permitted to use the post-nominals 'FEBEA' as evidence of their commitment to subject specific professional development.

As a member of the EBEA you will have access to and an opportunity to contribute to a wide range of resources, including:

  • 'Teaching Business and Economics' - a termly journal of articles covering the very latest thinking and practice guidance in our subject areas
  • 'EBEA Briefing' - a monthly digest of subject specific news and articles
  • EBEA Webinars - recorded sessions on key topics from experienced practitioners and teacher educators
  • Access to ‘Knowledge Hub’, our searchable archive of articles published by the EBEA, that together provide the essential ‘body of knowledge’ underpinning our subject discipline and the work of effective practitioners
  • The EBEA New Teacher Conference - an annual online conference for beginning teachers
  • Our ECT Conferences - a biannual conference supporting ECT's in topic areas of their choosing
  • The EBEA/Bank of England Student Economics Conference - an annual conference (both live and online) for students and their teacher designed to ignite a lifelong passion for economics.
  • The opportunity to apply for the EBEA Quality Mark as recognition of your department's enhancement plans following support from an experienced EBEA consultant (additional consultant fee applies).
